Database SSISDatabase Design and Development
In this information age, we are surrounded by data. In order to use this data effectively, the information must be stored so it can be retrieved and interpreted efficiently and with flexibility.
What is a Database?
A database is described as an organized collection of data for one or more purposes. This collection of information can be used in such a way that a software application or report can quickly select desired pieces of data from it. You can think of a database as an electronic filing system. Traditional databases are organized by fields, records, and tables. A field is a single piece of information; a record is one complete set of fields; and a table is a collection of records. For example, a telephone directory is analogous to a database table. It contains a list of records, each of which consists of three fields: name, address, and telephone number.
Why do I need one?
A database turns data into information. Data drives a business, and therefore it is essential for businesses to have data stored accurately, securely and in a way that it is easily accessible.
Relational Database Development
Datafocus IT provides all types of software development, but specialises in relational database development using Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Access, and MySQL. Our other speciality, which often comes hand in hand with databases, is report development. Reports allow you to view your data in the format you require, such as providing key performance indicators, or management information. This in turn helps you to monitor the business as well as make informed business decisions. Please see our Reporting page for details.
Our Development Approach
We approach each database development project without any pre-conceived ideas of how the solution should be created. We listen to your requirements, take into account your budget, and then suggest the best solution and most appropriate type of database, whether that be in SQL Server, Microsoft Access or MySQL. Sometimes this may include off the shelf solutions, if we feel it is the most appropriate, as being honest with clients is important. We aim to maintain the excellent reputation we have already achieved.
Database Development Costs
For small database solutions we will work at a rate of £40 hour, or for larger development projects we can provide a fixed price estimate for the complete database solution. We do not have hidden fees or mandatory software support contracts, and you will own the source code of the completed database solution.
